Emergency Radiology Fellowships Application Process

About this program

The American Society of Emergency Radiology (ASER) announces that Emergency Radiology Fellowships will not participate in the NRMP match for the 2025–2026 application cycle and will instead follow the AAR SCARD Embargo while recruiting for the 2027–2028 academic year (programs are currently recruiting for AY2027–2028 and many have open spots for AY2026–2027). Applications may be accepted beginning 2025-11-01; interviews may begin 2026-01-12 and must be completed by 2026-03-31; no offers may be made before 12:00 PM Eastern on 2026-01-26, with a grace period to accept offers until 12:00 PM Eastern on 2026-01-28 and a one-day (noon Eastern) grace period for offers made after that date. Embargo exceptions include applicants whose spouse/domestic partner is applying for a medical fellowship the same year, internal candidates, military candidates, and international applicants from programs not accredited by ACGME or RCPS; interviews should be virtual (optional onsite second visits permitted) and offers accepted during grace periods are binding, with accepted applicants expected to withdraw from other candidacies.
