About this program
The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) offers Engagement Award: Capacity Building grants to strengthen the skills and capacity of patients, families, caregivers, healthcare community members, and researchers to participate meaningfully in patient-centered comparative clinical effectiveness research (CER). Projects may last up to two years and receive a maximum of $300,000 in total costs; the program does not fund research studies. Proposed projects must demonstrate a clear contribution to patient-centered CER capacity building, and applicants must submit a Letter of Intent by October 1, 2026, with full applications accepted by invitation only and due January 11, 2027.
