Fellows-to-Faculty Award

About this program

The Simons Foundation’s Autism & Neuroscience division offers the Fellows-to-Faculty Award to help talented early-career scientists transition from mentored postdoctoral positions into tenure-track research faculty roles, providing end-of-postdoc support, career-development activities, community engagement, and a $600,000 USD three-year faculty research grant. Eligible applicants hold a Ph.D. and/or M.D., are currently in mentored research training positions, intend to seek tenure-track research faculty positions in the upcoming academic job cycle, and are expected to secure a faculty-equivalent appointment within 24 months of award notification. Research proposals must align with the Simons Foundation Autism Research Initiative (SFARI) and/or the Simons Collaboration on Plasticity and the Aging Brain (SCPAB); the request for applications opens annually in October.
