Fields Artist Fellowship

About this program

Oregon Community Foundation, in partnership with Oregon Humanities and supported by the Fred W. Fields Fund, offers the Fields Artist Fellowship to invest in Oregon-based artists and culture bearers who create social change through creative and cultural practice; four Fellows receive $150,000 each over a two-year term (May 2026–May 2028) plus professional development, convenings, and networking, while eight finalists receive $10,000. The program centers artists at pivotal career inflection points and uses an equity lens to prioritize perspectives historically undervalued, seeking regional and disciplinary diversity. Applicants must demonstrate at least five years of professional artistic practice, at least three years of Oregon residence (noncontinuous) with intent to reside in Oregon for most of the fellowship term, and evidence of community-engaged creative work addressing community concerns.
