About this program

Forrest Research Foundation Creative Fellowships fund creative and performing arts practitioners to develop research leadership and deliver social, cultural and health benefits through community-focused creative initiatives, providing a two‑year university appointment and research support. Awards include a Level A, Step 8 salary (~A$108,362 p.a. plus 17% super), an accommodation allowance (A$25,116 p.a. for Forrest Hall in 2025), a one‑off research/travel allowance up to A$12,000 and relocation assistance. Eligibility is open to candidates of any nationality with a strong academic/practitioner record (PhD or first‑class Honours or equivalent), specified degree recency (Honours within 8 years, Masters within 5, PhD within 2), evidence of research in creative/performing arts and a minimum of three years professional experience; Indigenous applicants are particularly encouraged.
