Frances M. Peacock Scholarship for Native Bird Habitat

The Garden Club of America’s Frances M. Peacock Fund, with selection administered by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, awards at least one $4,500 scholarship annually to support study of U.S. seasonal habitats for threatened or endangered native birds and to produce information useful for land-management decisions. The award may be split between two candidates in exceptional cases. Eligible applicants are college seniors and graduate students (second‑semester juniors may apply for their senior year) who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents enrolled at U.S.-based institutions; GCA cannot fund international applicants. Applicants may submit only one GCA scholarship/fellowship/award application per year; applications are due January 15 for the proposed period of study and awardees are notified by March 31.
