Fund for Siouxland Grants (Siouxland Community Foundation)

About this program

Siouxland Community Foundation’s Fund for Siouxland is an unrestricted endowment that awards competitive grants to address evolving local needs, supporting projects in arts & culture, civic affairs, education, health, and human services. Grants generally do not exceed $5,000; applications open Feb 15 and are due by noon May 15, with final determinations in late June, and recipients must submit a final report on expenditures and outcomes. Eligible applicants are tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organizations or qualified units of government serving the Siouxland tri-state area (approximately a 50-mile radius of Sioux City, IA) and must adhere to non-discrimination; priority is given to collaborative, innovative projects that benefit larger populations and demonstrate sound financial plans. The Foundation typically will not fund religious purposes, annual fund drives, political activities, capital campaigns, endowment or general operating support, individuals, budget deficits, or school playground equipment/uniforms, and prior-year recipients receive lower priority.
