Up to nine regional grants and four wild card grants are awarded annually, with applications due by September 15th. Eligibility requires U.S. citizenship or permanent residency, membership in a USDF Group Member Organization (GMO), and ownership or lease of the horse used for training, with preference given to applicants with a strong volunteer history. Applicants may receive this grant only once.
