About this program

The Pulitzer Center offers Global Reporting Grants to support journalists worldwide in their pursuit of in-depth, impactful stories on critical global issues. These grants, awarded on a rolling basis, cover reporting costs and encourage ambitious multimedia proposals.

Eligible applicants include staff and freelance journalists, with no restrictions on topic or location. However, applicants must have a firm assignment from an outlet that will assume responsibility for their safety if reporting in high-risk regions. Grants range from $5,000 to $10,000, with payments made in two installments.
