Hispanic Outreach Leadership Conference

About this program

The **Hispanic Outreach Leadership Conference**, supported by the Parkinson's Foundation through a Community Grant, is an initiative by the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center (MAPC) at Barrow Neurological Institute. It aims to train participants to conduct culturally appropriate outreach for the underserved Hispanic Parkinson's community through a one-year program featuring webinars, practical components, and an in-person conference. Eligible applicants include individuals with Parkinson's disease, care partners, Promotores (Hispanic outreach program participants), and healthcare providers from regions with large Hispanic populations and insufficient services, such as California, Chicago, IL; New York, NY; Houston, TX; and Miami, FL. Participants are selected based on their ability to address gaps in culturally appropriate services for the Hispanic Parkinson's community.
