Implementation of Findings From PCORI's Research Investments PCORI Funding Announcement -- Cycle 3 2026

About this program

The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) will release an open-competition Funding Announcement (Cycle 3 2026) to support implementation projects that promote uptake of published, peer‑reviewed findings from selected PCORI-funded comparative clinical effectiveness research and systematic reviews into practice to improve health care and outcomes. PCORI seeks multicomponent implementation proposals focused on evidence identified for this cycle—examples include pediatric obsessive‑compulsive disorder treatment, direct hospital admissions for children, early palliative care for advanced cancer, and school‑based caries arrest/prevention—and will fund projects up to $1.8 million in direct costs for up to four years. Applicants (prior PCORI funding not required) must implement the specified evidence, demonstrate leadership and frontline buy‑in across multiple health systems, engage regional/national stakeholders, use an established implementation framework, and include a rigorous evaluation plan; LOI is due Sept 8, 2026 and full applications are due Jan 12, 2027.
