International Fellowship Program

About this program

The American Respiratory Care Foundation offers an International Fellowship Program for health care professionals outside the United States to advance respiratory care through observational visits to hospitals, educational programs, and alternate care sites, as well as attendance at the 2026 AARC Congress. The fellowship covers U.S.-based lodging, food allowances, local transportation, and Congress registration for up to 20 days; fellows must fund international and domestic air travel, insurance, and personal expenses. Applicants must demonstrate a strong interest and long-term commitment to respiratory care, support its development as an allied health profession, and possess written and conversational English proficiency. Applications are accepted annually from January 1 through April 1, and selected fellows must provide required vaccination documentation.
