IRRF Postdoctoral Scholar Awards

About this program

The International Retinal Research Foundation (IRRF) offers three one-year Postdoctoral Scholar Awards honoring Alston Callahan, Charles D. Kelman, and Loris and David Rich. Each award provides up to $35,000 for salary and research support to advance research on diseases of the macula or peripheral retina and prepare scholars for independent vision research careers. Applicants must hold a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent, have no more than three years of postdoctoral training, and be sponsored by a faculty mentor conducting vision-related research at a U.S. nonprofit research institution (excluding NIH). U.S. and foreign citizens are eligible, provided foreign applicants maintain valid U.S. visas; applications, including a mentor support letter, are due March 15.
