ISBT Academy Support — Financial support for an educational activity

About this program

The International Society of Blood Transfusion (ISBT) Academy offers up to €7,500 in financial support for face-to-face or virtual educational activities for transfusion professionals (workshops, training and courses), covering eligible costs such as speaker travel and accommodation, hire of equipment/venue, reasonable catering, and laboratory resources/consumables. Ineligible costs include speaker honoraria, attendee stipends, event management, marketing, purchase of equipment/computers, dinners/hospitality, photography and flowers; approved awards require submission of receipts and result in a published event report in Transfusion Today. Eligible applicants are established organisations (not individuals or commercial companies) based in World Bank LIC, LMIC or UMIC countries; organisations in HICs may only apply to fund attendance of participants from LIC/LMIC/UMIC, and any organisation may request ISBT logo use or course endorsement. Applications are considered after three annual deadlines (1 March, 1 July, 1 November) for events scheduled at least four months after the deadline, limited to one application per organisation per calendar year, and must include the completed form, motivation letter, host organisation details, preliminary programme, detailed budget, evaluation form and prior ISBT-funded activity reports if applicable.
