Jane Coffin Childs Memorial Fund Postdoctoral Fellowship (2027 application)

About this program

The Jane Coffin Childs Memorial Fund for Medical Research is accepting applications for its 2026 postdoctoral fellowships to support early-career biomedical researchers; applications are due February 2, 2026 at 3:00 PM EST. Applicants must have no more than 12 months of postdoctoral research experience as of the deadline (i.e., first postdoc must not have begun before February 2, 2025); Ph.D. must have been conferred within 24 months of the deadline (Ph.D. candidates may apply but must have the degree conferred and begin the fellowship by July 1, 2026) and M.D. conferral must be within three years of the deadline. Candidates may be citizens of any country but awards to non-U.S. citizens require a U.S.-based sponsoring institution; every applicant must secure a commitment from a sponsoring laboratory and institution prior to applying, and those who have already accepted another postdoctoral fellowship are ineligible (T32 trainees may apply but cannot hold a JCC award concurrently). Training in the same institution/department as the Ph.D. is discouraged and proposals from the same laboratory that awarded the Ph.D. will not be funded; contact jccfund@yale.edu for questions or extenuating circumstances.
