Jane Engelberg Memorial Fellowship (JEMF)

About this program

Funded by the Engelberg Foundation and administered by the National Society of Genetic Counselors, the Jane Engelberg Memorial Fellowship (JEMF) supports research by genetic counselors and professional development to advance innovation in genetic counseling practice. Priority is given to projects that develop novel approaches or service-delivery models, improve access for underserved populations, address unmet needs of specific client groups, promote growth and competence of students and practicing genetic counselors, and build a more diverse and inclusive workforce. Eligible applicants include practicing genetic counselors (Full Member Award) and students (Student Research Award), with awards overseen by an advisory group and projects required to directly advance genetic counseling practice or professional development.
