JGS Fellowship for Photography — $8,000 unrestricted cash grant for NY State photographers (outside NYC)

About this program

The Joy of Giving Something (JGS) Foundation offers the JGS Fellowship for Photography, an $8,000 unrestricted cash grant, to support New York State photography artists living and working outside of New York City. The fellowship is awarded to five artists working in traditional, experimental, or photographically-driven mediums. Eligibility requires applicants to be at least 25 years old, not enrolled in a degree program, and have resided full-time in eligible regions for at least 12 months, with past recipients ineligible to reapply. Applications, including 10 digital images, an artist statement, and an optional cultural statement, must be submitted via Submittable by January 1, 2026.
