JNC-ISN Trainee Merit Award & Fundamental Neurochemistry Reviews

Journal of Neurochemistry, in partnership with the International Society for Neurochemistry (ISN), offers the JNC‑ISN Trainee Merit Award to reimburse up to USD 700 for graduate students or postdoctoral researchers (within five years of their doctoral/higher degree, with career interruptions considered) who are sole first authors of reviews published in Journal of Neurochemistry and who present that work (oral or poster) at Neurochemistry or Neuroscience meetings (including virtual meetings; ISN and Sister Society meetings are preferred). Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and must be submitted within one year of the review’s online publication; submissions received during the year are assessed each December. Required materials are a completed application form, a short CV (maximum two pages) and a supervisor’s letter of support; awardees must acknowledge the award in presentations/publications and the award cannot be combined with other ISN financial support. Trainees may also submit a Fundamental Neurochemistry Review proposal (max 400 words)—if a first‑author review is accepted and the author meets eligibility criteria, the Merit Award is granted automatically; inquiries and submissions to jnc-ce@florey.edu.au.
