About this program

The Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation offers Sunset Grants to support previous grantees who no longer align with the foundation's current funding priorities. These one-time grants, up to $100,000, aim to assist long-term grantees in transitioning to new funding sources or concluding ongoing projects. Eligibility is limited to grantees whose funding ends between January 1, 2023, and June 2025, have received Kauffman funding in at least three of the last five years, and were not awarded through RFPs, sponsorships, or Real World Learning. Recipients will be ineligible for additional foundation funding until 2027.
