The Sturge‑Weber Foundation’s Kimmi’s Sunflower Fund provides one‑time stipends (up to $500) to help individuals or families cover non‑reimbursable expenses—such as travel, lodging, and food—incurred while seeking consultation or medical treatment for Sturge‑Weber syndrome (SWS). Applicants must be located in the United States and have an appointment within the U.S.; the fund is available to individuals with a confirmed or suspected SWS diagnosis, with one award per family and no combination with other scholarships. To apply, submit a letter via the online form or by mail explaining the medical issue and how funds will be used; if awarded you will be asked to provide appointment verification, receipts for expenses, and a doctor’s note or appointment summary. Awards are granted following committee review.
