LEF/CIFF Fellowship

About this program

LEF New England, in partnership with the Camden International Film Festival/Points North Institute, offers the LEF/CIFF Fellowship to support five New England–based filmmaking teams with mentor-led project development workshops, networking, curated 1:1 industry meetings, and access to major funders and distributors at the 2026 festival. Fellows receive a $1,000 travel stipend, two Points North festival passes, and six nights of double-occupancy accommodations. Eligible applicants must have a director whose primary residence is in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, or Vermont and be working on a feature-length documentary in production or post‑production; prior LEF/CIFF Fellows may not re-enter with the same project. Applications are evaluated for cinematic quality, originality of voice, resonance of the core idea, and production feasibility.
