LREC Research Grants for Ecology, Conservation, and Environmental Science

About this program

Litzsinger Road Ecology Center (LREC) / Litzsinger Road Ecology Foundation is offering up to three research grants (typically up to $1,000 each, with larger awards possible for extensive on-site projects) to support ecology, conservation, and environmental science research conducted at LREC; funds may cover consumable supplies, travel to/from LREC, stipends for data collection/processing, and conference presentation costs but not permanent equipment or indirect costs. Eligible applicants include undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, or professional researchers conducting research at LREC, with preference for projects aligned with LREC’s research goals. Applications must include an abstract, budget, a research description (introduction, question/hypothesis, design, significance, references) limited to 5 double-spaced pages, and a brief resume/CV; student applicants must also provide a supervising scientist’s letter of recommendation and a current college transcript, and incomplete applications will not be reviewed. Grantees must submit a final report for posting on the LREC website, cite the Litzsinger Road Ecology Foundation in resulting publications, and provide a copy of any publications to LREC.
