Neurological Foundation Education and Training Resource Grants

About this program

The Neurological Foundation offers Education and Training Resource Grants to fund development of free, publicly accessible education and training resources that advance understanding, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and care of nervous system disorders and support neuroscience research and training; eligible resource types include written materials, recorded media, social media, tools/apps/games and associated production or consultation costs, with awards up to NZD 20,000 and projects up to two years. Applications are accepted any time via the Foundation’s Grants Management System but must be submitted at least eight weeks before the proposed start date, require a registered host organisation in New Zealand to review and submit, and applicants will be advised of outcomes within 30 working days. Applicants must be resource developers employed or supported by a registered organisation and the host must be a New Zealand charity, tertiary education organisation, public hospital or research institute; resources must be free to the public, compatible with New Zealand public healthcare and scientifically supported, and applications must include itemised quotes, CVs for costed personnel and other supporting documents. Ineligible items include organisational overheads, salaries for staff already paid full‑time by their employer, postgraduate stipends, ongoing subscription fees, resources requiring ethical approval prior to release, and luxury travel; only one resubmission of an unsuccessful application is allowed.
