Neurological Foundation Travel Grant

About this program

The Neurological Foundation offers Travel Grants to support holders of eligible Foundation projects, scholarships or fellowships to attend conferences, meetings, training courses, or laboratory/clinic visits directly related to their funded research, covering items such as conference registration, economy airfares, transfers, accommodation and per diem. Awards are up to NZD 4,200 for grants awarded prior to 2019 or NZD 4,500 for grants awarded since January 2019 (combined travel grants cannot exceed the applicable maximum); business-class fares and investigators on small Foundation projects are excluded. Applicants must be current recipients or within two years of the end of an eligible Neurological Foundation project, scholarship or fellowship, submit an online application via the Foundation Grants Management System with Host Institution final submission, and include NZD budgets excluding GST, NZ Standard CVs and quotes for costs. Grants commence on acceptance and are valid for one year; successful applicants must sign the funding contract, submit a final report within three months of travel, and acknowledge the Foundation in presentation materials.
