About this program

Sturge‑Weber Foundation offers New Horizon Research Grants ($5,000–$10,000), Seed Grants (up to $5,000) and Catalyst Research Grants ($30,000–$50,000) to support patient‑oriented, basic, and translational studies—including epidemiological, behavioral, small exploratory clinical trials, biomarker/technology development, and investigations of neurological, ophthalmological and dermatological manifestations—relevant to Sturge‑Weber syndrome. Eligible applicants are qualified clinicians or scientists affiliated with universities, hospitals, or research institutions (non‑profit or for‑profit), including medical schools, residents, postdoctoral fellows, and faculty. Applications must be submitted as a single PDF containing NIH‑format biosketches for applicant and mentor and a four‑page proposal (title, specific aims, how the work advances SWF’s mission, background/significance, research strategy, and a brief training plan), with figures/tables included.
