PCORI Limited Competition: Implementation Awards — Cycle 3 2026

About this program

The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) will release a Limited Competition Funding Announcement (Implementation Awards — Cycle 3 2026) to support projects that implement, disseminate, or plan implementation of evidence from PCORI-funded patient-centered comparative effectiveness research in real-world practice settings. PCORI will fund Implementation Projects (up to $1.8M direct costs, up to 48 months), Dissemination Projects (up to $300K total, up to 36 months), and Implementation Planning Projects (up to $200K total, up to 24 months). Eligible applicants are recipients of PCORI-funded patient-centered CER awards (including PCORnet demonstration project recipients) and prior PCORI implementation awardees; recipients of other PCORI award types (e.g., Eugene Washington Engagement Awards, methods awards) are not eligible. Applicants must have a Draft Final Research Report accepted into PCORI’s peer‑review process—or, for dissemination/planning, a manuscript accepted for publication—by the LOI deadline, and prior implementation awardees must have completed their active implementation phase before submitting an LOI (LOI deadline Sept. 8, 2026; full applications due Jan. 12, 2027).
