About this program
Maine Historical Society’s P.D. Merrill Research Fellowship provides a $3,000 stipend to support archival research in the Society’s collections. The award supports one recipient to complete seventy-two (72) hours of research over a twelve-month performance period (June 1–May 31). Applicants must plan to use the Maine Historical Society’s collections and complete the required 72 research hours within the performance period; additional eligibility and application details are set by the Society.
