Physician Scientist Career Development Award

About this program

The Dermatology Foundation (DF) Physician Scientist Career Development Award supports physician–scientists devoted to clinical dermatology, funding creative, clinically relevant research to facilitate the transition from fellowship to an independent academic investigator. Funded research must be conducted in the United States under the sponsorship of an ACGME‑approved dermatology department or division, and applicants must meet the DF’s general eligibility criteria at the time of funding. Applicants typically are physicians in or completing fellowship; candidates from minority and underserved populations are encouraged to apply, and proposals addressing health issues affecting these groups are welcome.
