PIDS Award in CMV Medical Education

About this program

The Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society (PIDS), funded by Moderna, offers a one-year PIDS Award in CMV Medical Education providing $25,000 to support development of educational modules, education research, or application of adult learning theory addressing CMV diagnosis, treatment, and prevention in children and young adults. Eligible expenses include salary support, small equipment, technical/statistical support, research supplies, tuition or workshop fees, and publication fees (indirect costs and health insurance are not permitted). Applicants must be PIDS members in good standing; current pediatric infectious diseases fellows are prioritized but other trainees (including residents, students, and fellows in other disciplines with PIDS mentorship) and faculty with a clear training component may apply. Trainee applicants must have a mentor who is a current PIDS member, and nonmember recipients will be asked to join PIDS.
