PKD Foundation Research Fellowship (Request for Applications)

About this program

The PKD Foundation offers a two‑year research fellowship to support early‑career investigators studying autosomal dominant and recessive polycystic kidney disease, providing $70,000 per year (total $140,000) to advance basic, translational, clinical, epidemiologic, and data‑analysis projects. Proposals in areas such as ARPKD, pediatric ADPKD, machine learning, lifestyle interventions, extra‑renal manifestations, clinical care disparities, and drug‑delivery mechanisms are encouraged, with special consideration for projects conducted in Canada or Australia through partner alliances. Applicants must hold an M.D., Ph.D., or equivalent, have no more than five years of postdoctoral research training (excluding clinical training and parental leave), not hold a primary faculty appointment (except Instructor), commit at least 75% effort to the fellowship, submit a required pre‑application to be invited for full submission, and adhere to award restrictions (no indirect costs, limits on consultant/equipment/travel, and no concurrent PKD Foundation research funding).
