About this program

The Robert W. Woodruff Foundation supports transformational, lasting solutions that improve quality of life in metro Atlanta and Georgia through grants in arts and culture, community development, education, environment, health, and human services. Grants generally support one-time projects or opportunities led by established nonprofit organizations, preferably alongside other funders, rather than ongoing operations.

Eligible applicants must be Georgia-based or operate in Georgia, be 501(c)(3) public charities with paid full-time staff and annual budgets exceeding $500,000, and demonstrate strong leadership, sustainable finances, diversified support, and measurable impact. Applicants should submit an inquiry before applying and provide a request letter, project and operating budgets, fundraising status, financial statements, board list, and IRS determination letter by February 1 or August 15.
