Robotics and Edge AI Academic Grant Program

About this program

NVIDIA Corporation's Robotics and Edge AI Academic Grant Program funds academic research that leverages NVIDIA technologies for robotics, autonomous vehicles, 5G/6G, smart spaces, and federated learning, with priority themes including learning and control, simulation and data tools, foundation models, AI safety, diffusion models for synthetic data, CUDA‑accelerated signal processing, and edge multimodal AI. Selected PIs may receive resource awards of up to 32,000 A100 80GB GPU hours (max 8 concurrent), up to four RTX PRO 6000 GPUs, and/or up to two developer kits (Jetson AGX Orin, Jetson AGX Thor, or DRIVE AGX Thor); GPU hours expire after six months and final allocations are determined by an NVIDIA panel. Eligible applicants are full‑time faculty at accredited institutions that award Ph.D. degrees (postdoctoral researchers and graduate students must apply via a faculty sponsor); individuals may submit one proposal per quarter (maximum four per year) and may receive one award per calendar year. Proposals must follow the provided template, be no more than four pages (appendices excluded), incorporate pretrained models from ai.nvidia.com and/or extensively use NVIDIA software distributions/SDKs, and awardees must acknowledge NVIDIA and report related outputs via the grant portal.
