Shock Society Travel Awards

About this program

The U.S. Shock Society offers up to 40 Travel Awards of up to $1,000 to support travel and lodging for investigators presenting at the Shock Society Annual Meeting. Applicants must be current Shock Society members who are predoctoral students (MD, PhD, DVM, DO, or DDS) or research fellows with no more than two years of postdoctoral training, and must submit an abstract as first author while checking “Travel Award,” uploading a CV, and providing their advisor’s name and email during submission. Awards are made based on scientific merit and demonstrated financial need; several awardees will give a 3-minute oral presentation, six will receive named Presidential Travel Awards, and all recipients are recognized at the Awards Dinner. Recipients who submit a first-authored manuscript to SHOCK within two months after the meeting (deadline August 18, 2026) will have publication page charges waived if accepted.
