SLB Presidential Scholars Program

About this program

Society for Leukocyte Biology (SLB) offers the Presidential Scholars Program, a merit-based award in three categories—postdoctoral, graduate student, and undergraduate/post‑baccalaureate—with cash prizes (postdoc and graduate: $750 for the winner and $500 for two finalists; merit finalists $200; undergraduate amounts vary). Applicants must be current SLB members and at the appropriate training stage (postdocs with no more than six cumulative years in postdoctoral positions; currently enrolled graduate students; undergraduates or individuals in post‑baccalaureate research programs), and may reapply while eligible. Postdoctoral and graduate finalists are selected from submitted abstracts and compete with oral presentations at the Annual Meeting (judged on presentation and Q&A); undergraduate authors present posters—see the application instructions and abstract system for submission details.
