SSCD-CDF Visiting Celiac Disease Fellowship Program

About this program

The Society for the Study of Celiac Disease (SSCD) and the Celiac Disease Foundation (CDF) fund the SSCD‑CDF Visiting Celiac Disease Fellowship Program, awarding two $9,000 fellowships for early‑career investigators to undertake mentored observerships, research and clinical training at accredited Celiac Disease Unit Recognition Program (CDURP) sites in the U.S. and Canada. Fellows gain exposure to basic, translational and clinical research, state‑of‑the‑art clinical practice, and networking/mentorship opportunities, with fellowship length and schedule coordinated with the host institution. Eligible applicants must hold an M.D., Ph.D. or equivalent, be employed by or in training at a healthcare or health‑related research institution, and demonstrate a strong commitment to advancing celiac disease research or clinical care; incomplete applications are not reviewed. Each fellow must use the stipend for travel, housing and research‑related expenses (no indirect costs) and submit a case‑report manuscript, a 2–3 page fellowship summary and a post‑program survey upon completion; the current application period is closed.
