TAFP Foundation Scholarships and Program Support

About this program

The Texas Academy of Family Physicians Foundation, a 501(c)(3) philanthropic arm of the Texas Academy of Family Physicians, funds scholarships, family medicine student interest group (FMIG) support, student travel to TAFP/AAFP meetings, resident activities, and office-based primary care research to improve health care for Texans. Scholarship and FMIG funding targets medical students enrolled in Texas medical schools who plan to pursue family medicine, with travel reimbursements available for approved conference attendance. Resident activities and research grants are intended for family medicine residents and investigators conducting office-based primary care research in Texas; interested applicants should contact the TAFP Foundation for application details (kmccarthy@tafp.org).
