Texas Rural Communities Grants

About this program

Texas Rural Communities, Inc., a foundation supporting rural development, offers grants of up to $10,000 to fund new or existing community programs in areas such as Arts & Humanities, Community Development, Education, Energy & Environment, and Historic Preservation. Eligible applicants are 501(c)(3) community-based non‑profits located in territory outside the extra‑territorial jurisdiction (ETJ) of any city with population 100,000 or more and must not be affiliated with governmental or quasi‑governmental entities. Organizations without 501(c)(3) status may apply only with a non‑governmental sponsor that has appropriate tax status and provides a letter of support from the sponsor’s President/Chair; applicant groups must have existed at least one year and maintain an established Board of Directors plus current budget, balance sheet, and income/expense statement.
