About this program
The International Retinal Research Foundation (IRRF) awards the Charles D. Kelman, M.D. Postdoctoral Scholar Award to support and expand the international pool of vision scientists by funding postdoctoral research and career development in retinal and vision science. Nominations for the Scholar Awards are due March 15; nominations are reviewed by the IRRF Director of Education with final approval by the Board of Directors, notifications issued by June 1 and funding beginning July 1. Applicants must be postdoctoral-level vision researchers (nominations are required) who demonstrate the potential to develop independent research, and successful nominees will undergo the IRRF review and Board approval process.
