The Neil Rosenberg Bluegrass Scholar Award

The IBMA Foundation offers the annual Neil Rosenberg Bluegrass Scholar Award, providing a $1,000 honorarium and admission to the next IBMA Business Conference and Awards Show to the developing academic scholar who presents the best paper accepted by a juried academic conference on an aspect of bluegrass music. Eligible applicants are graduate students (MA or PhD) and recent PhDs within five years of degree completion, and the paper must be accepted by a juried academic conference. Entries may be emailed to info@bluegrassfoundation.org, and the foundation’s site lists June 30 as the consideration deadline (no year specified); the IBMA Foundation has administered and renamed the award in honor of Neil Rosenberg since 2018.
