About this program

The Vilcek Foundation annually awards the Vilcek Prize to immigrants who have made significant career contributions to culture and society in the United States, granting three prizes (one in biomedical science and two rotating arts/humanities categories—in 2026: biomedical science, fashion & culture, and fashion & design) with an unrestricted $100,000 award and a trophy. Winners are selected through foundation-appointed nominators and expert juries whose recommendations are approved by the Board, and recipients are honored at a spring awards ceremony in New York City. Eligible candidates are immigrants with demonstrable career achievements in the relevant field; the foundation does not accept unsolicited nominations or applications.
