About this program

The Dressage Foundation's Verne Batchelder Instructor Fund provides grants for professional dressage instructors to enhance their skills through continuing education and training. Established in honor of Verne Batchelder's legacy, the fund offers up to three annual grants to instructors from specific USDF regions.

To be eligible, applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents residing in USDF Regions 1, 3, or 8, with a diverse student base and a relationship with the trainer they wish to work with. The grant supports training but excludes competition entries, vet/farrier expenses, and horse/equipment purchases.
