About this program

Westinghouse Charitable Giving Program provides unrestricted-amount grants to U.S. nonprofit organizations and schools located within 50 miles of a Westinghouse site to fund projects in three strategic areas: Education with a STEM focus, Environmental Sustainability, and Community Safety and Vitality; applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Eligible applicants must be IRS 501(c)(3) organizations (schools are eligible), and requests are ineligible from organizations more than 50 miles from a Westinghouse site, United Way agencies receiving direct allocations, political, religious-affiliated, discriminatory, labor or fraternal groups, individuals, capital projects, general endowments, event sponsorships, or requests for salaries/stipends. Proposals must be submitted as a single PDF and include a cover letter (amount requested and nearest Westinghouse site), mission statement, project purpose, itemized budget, implementation schedule, reporting plans, contact and qualifications, 501(c)(3) determination letter, completed W-9, program demographics, board list, latest audited financials, and disclosure of other funding sources.
