Young Academics Travel Grants (DGfI)

About this program

The German Society of Immunology (DGfI) offers Young Academics Travel Grants to subsidise travel costs for members (primarily doctoral candidates and early postdoctoral researchers up to 3 years post-PhD) to attend scientific congresses or symposia where they present an oral or poster contribution, or to enable necessary laboratory stays (note: accommodation for lab stays is not covered). Grants reimburse travel expenses after the trip upon submission of original receipts; no fixed award amount is specified. Applicants must have been DGfI members for at least three months, must present their own scientific results, and submit applications on the DGfI form at least 60 days before the event (conditional approval possible if abstract acceptance is pending). Institutional limits and career caps apply: no more than two applications per calendar year per institution (except the DGfI annual conference) and each member may receive a maximum of two travel allowances in their career; participation in DGfI schools is not eligible.
